Job Description

HR Co-Ordinator

A local authority is looking for an experienced HR Co-Ordinator to join its HR Operations team. The role will provide administrative, data and systems support across a busy HR function.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate employee records and workforce data across HR systems.
  • Carry out data checks, cleansing and validation.
  • Support workforce reports, statistics, KPIs and statutory returns.
  • Maintain workforce trackers covering sickness absence, fixed-term contracts, agency workers and other workforce information.
  • Work with HR Systems, Payroll and HR colleagues to ensure employee information is accurate and consistent.
  • Support HR systems updates, testing and organisational changes, including TUPE activity.
  • Maintain training, appraisal and development records and monitor mandatory training.
  • Provide general HR Operations and recruitment administration.
  • Respond to routine employee and manager queries, escalating where required.

About You

  • Experience in an HR administrative, systems or coordination role.
  • Good understanding of HR policies and procedures.
  • Experience using HRIS/ATS systems.
  • Experience extracting data and producing reports, statistics or KPIs.
  • Strong Excel, database and analytical skills.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information.
  • Recruitment and onboarding experience would be desirable.
  • CIPD Level 3 or equivalent would be desirable.
  • Local government experience would be advantageous.

Working hours: 37 hours per week

Working arrangement: 3 days in the office, 2 days remote
