About Us: When applying for a new job, we feel it’s important for you to understand the culture of the company. OliverSperry Renovation was founded in 2007 by veteran builders Bill Oliver and Todd Sperry, because they believed that commercial renovation projects deserved to be treated as a specialized sector, instead of just a way to keep employees busy between new construction projects. We have always focused on delivering a unique client experience for projects that fit this thoughtfully created niche. Currently, we have a staff of over 25 employees with an annual volume of between $20 and $25 million. But it's not just about the money-- investment in our community and in personal relationships is something OliverSperry feels strongly about. The founders have served on the boards of several community organizations. Numerous opportunities are offered to employees throughout the year to give back to our community, including paid volunteer hours.
About this position:
The ideal candidate will be someone who understands accounting beyond basic data entry and is comfortable taking ownership of A/P, A/R, reconciliations, bookkeeping, HR administration, payroll support, and insurance documentation.
We’re seeking someone who is proactive, accountable, and highly organized, with the ability to maintain accurate financial and employee records while supporting the daily administrative operations of a busy construction company.
We think you'll succeed in this position if you:
- Are passionate about the renovation and construction industry
- Are detail-oriented and strive to have zero errors in your estimates and calculations
- Can professionally and confidently correspond with employees, vendors, staff members, and customers
- Value integrity, ethics, and accuracy over shortcuts and speed
- Know when to ask for help and to take ownership of both successes and shortcomings
- Are looking for more than just a "job" and want a long-term career with a financially stable but growing construction company
- Naturally act with a sense of urgency whenever issues arise
