The Role

• Operate specialized heavy equipment (hostlers, cranes, top loaders, side loaders) to move shipping containers.
• Load and unload containers from railcars and trucks.
• Position containers and chassis within the intermodal yard using hostlers.
• Stack, move, and organize containers according to operational needs.
• Conduct pre- and post-operation equipment inspections to ensure safety and functionality.
• Coordinate with yard personnel and supervisors to manage daily logistics and tasks efficiently.

What You'll Need

• A valid driver’s license is required.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting up to 50lbs and climbing ladders/stairs.
• Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions and maintain open availability for shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Strong commitment to safety protocols and a keen attention to detail.
• Basic communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
• Previous experience in logistics or operating heavy machinery is preferred but not mandatory, as paid training is provided.
