Business System Analyst

Job Summary We are seeking a Business Systems Analyst with strong API integration expertise to bridge business requirements and technical solutions across enterprise applications. This role is responsible for gathering and analyzing business requirements, designing integration solutions, documenting technical specifications, and supporting API-driven implementations. The ideal candidate will have experience with RESTful APIs, system integration, process analysis, and Agile methodologies while collaborating with technical and business stakeholders to deliver scalable solutions. Key Responsibilities Gather, analyze, and translate business requirements into technical specifications for API development and integration projects. Design and document system solutions utilizing RESTful APIs, microservices, and modern integration patterns. Collaborate with developers, architects, business stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to define API contracts, data models, and integration workflows. Perform system impact analysis to evaluate proposed changes and integration requirements. Create and maintain process flow diagrams, data mapping documents, functional specifications, and technical requirements documentation. Lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT) planning, develop test cases, and validate API functionality and system integrations. Document API standards, integration best practices, and system architecture documentation. Support application deployments and troubleshoot API and integration-related issues in collaboration with technical teams. Facilitate communication between technical and non-technical stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery. Identify opportunities for process improvements and recommend technology solutions that enhance business operations. Maintain project documentation throughout the software development lifecycle. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience. Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst or in a related role. Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience supporting API design, development, or integration projects. Strong understanding of RESTful API principles and integration architectures. Experience with API authentication mechanisms and data serialization formats such as JSON and XML. Proficiency with API design and testing tools such as Postman, Swagger/OpenAPI, or API Blueprint. Experience documenting business requirements, technical specifications, process flows, and data mappings. Experience performing system impact analysis and supporting system integration initiatives. Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills. Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. Ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Preferred Qualifications Experience with API management platforms such as MuleSoft, AWS API Gateway, or Azure API Management. Knowledge of cloud platforms including AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform). Experience working in financial services or banking environments. Familiarity with Agile or Scrum software development methodologies. Education: Bachelors Degree
