Position Overview

It's an exciting time to join EVT as we continue to evolve how data and insights shape strategy and unlock business growth. As a Data Analyst, you will support the development of insights to support the operational and strategic decision-making of EVT and support the delivery of data solutions that drive business performance. You'll work closely with business stakeholders and senior developers to support both project-based initiatives and business-as-usual (BAU) operations.

The Strategy and Insights team turns complex data into clear, actionable intelligence that validates ideas, informs strategy and accelerates sustainable growth. We're looking for someone who is a strong communicator with a growth mindset, commercially astute, and confident in transforming complex datasets into simple, powerful insights that influence senior stakeholders and help shape EVT's strategic direction.

Responsibilities

• Translate complex commercial and customer data into clear, compelling insights that drive strategic and operational decision-making. Present analysis and insights in a clear, commercially grounded narrative tailored to senior and non-technical audiences.
• Support analytical capability uplift through improved data assets, efficient processes, and clear documentation.
• Support BI reporting and data development activities to enhance insight delivery and data accessibility.
• Understand, build, and apply semantic layers to delivery conversational analytic agents.
• Identify opportunities to leverage AI to reduce time to delivery, reduce risk and increase quality.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and business stakeholders to strengthen data quality, governance, and analytical best practice, shaping analytical approaches that influence decisions and improve outcomes across the business.
• Lead analysis to identify growth opportunities, performance drivers, risks, and optimisation levers across products, customers, and markets.
• Respond to ad hoc analytical requests, providing stakeholders with timely, accurate, and commercially relevant insights.

Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Analytics, Commerce, Economics or a related field.
• 5+ years' experience working with commercial and customer data to generate insights that deliver measurable business impact.
• Strong commercial acumen and analytical capability, with proven attention to detail and the ability to craft compelling analytical stories and translate complex analysis into clear, business-focused recommendations that influence decision-making
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with confidence working across diverse teams.
• Experience developing advanced Power BI reports, SQL queries (supporting insight delivery rather than core ETL) and conversational analytics agents (e.g. Cortex Analyst or similar). Experience with dbt is highly regarded.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word); familiarity with AI-assisted analytics tools is a plus.
