Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Technical / Functional Business Analyst to join our Back Office Operations & Global Business Finance Technology team. This role is ideal for a Business Analyst who can bridge the gap between business stakeholders and software engineering teams by translating complex business processes into clear, testable technical requirements.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience in business process analysis, workflow mapping, requirement gathering, Agile methodologies, and technical discussions involving APIs, data flows, and system integrations. Experience supporting Finance, Accounting, Operations, or Investment Management environments is highly preferred.

This position offers a consulting engagement with a strong right-to-hire opportunity and requires close collaboration with business users, product owners, QA teams, and software engineers.

Responsibilities

• Lead requirement gathering and business discovery sessions with stakeholders.
• Analyze current business processes and identify workflow improvements.
• Gather, document, and validate business and functional requirements.
• Create:
• Business Requirement Documents (BRD)
• Functional Requirement Documents (FRD)
• User Stories
• Process Flow Diagrams
• Acceptance Criteria
• Translate business needs into technical requirements for development teams.
• Work closely with Product Owners and Engineering teams during backlog grooming and sprint planning.
• Facilitate discussions around APIs, integrations, and data flows.
• Identify business rules, edge cases, workflow exceptions, and operational controls.
• Coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and validate delivered functionality.
• Maintain requirement traceability throughout the project lifecycle.
• Communicate project status, risks, assumptions, and decisions to stakeholders.
• Utilize AI tools responsibly to improve documentation, analysis, and productivity.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, Finance, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience as:
• Business Analyst
• Functional Business Analyst
• Technical Business Analyst
• Systems Analyst
• Strong experience gathering and documenting business requirements.
• Experience creating:
• User Stories
• Acceptance Criteria
• Process Flows
• BRDs
• FRDs
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and business teams.
• Strong understanding of:

• System integrations
• Data flows
• Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
• Excellent documentation and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
