Job Description

This large and well-established lift company are currently seeking an experienced Lift Service & Call Out Engineer to support them with servicing, maintenance, fault finding and minor repairs across Newcastle upon Tyne and the surrounding areas. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Lift Engineer looking to join a reputable business offering long-term stability, strong earning potential and opportunities for progression.

As a Lift Engineer, you will be responsible for:

  • Managing your own designated service route across Newcastle upon Tyne and the surrounding areas
  • Carrying out servicing, maintenance and minor repairs
  • Applying your knowledge as a Lift Engineer in fault-finding situations
  • Attending reactive call outs when required
  • Participating in an on-call rota
  • Working to best practices and maintaining high standards of health and safety
  • Building strong relationships with customers and ensuring equipment is maintained to a high standard

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • A background in lift engineering, ideally within service and maintenance
  • NVQ Level 3 is essential
  • Experience working on a variety of lift products
  • Strong electrical and mechanical knowledge
  • Excellent fault-finding and diagnostic skills
  • The ability to work independently and manage your own workload
  • A full UK driving licence
