Job Description

A client of Innova Solutions is immediately hiring for a Security Operations Center Operator
Position type: Full-time, Contract
Duration: 9 months
Location: Kennett Square Pennsylvania
As a Security Operations Center Operator, you will:
You'll serve as the frontline guardian of critical infrastructure, assets, and personnel. Operating within a high-impact, fast-paced environment, you will monitor sophisticated security systems, coordinate emergency response efforts, investigate incidents, and ensure continuous operational security across multiple facilities.
This role is ideal for professionals who thrive under pressure, possess sharp analytical skills, and are passionate about leveraging technology to safeguard people and organizations. As part of a 24/7 operations team, you will play a vital role in identifying threats, managing incidents, and maintaining the integrity of enterprise security systems.
What You'll Do
Security Monitoring & Incident Response
  • Continuously monitor intrusion detection and physical security systems to identify, assess, and respond to potential security threats.
  • Evaluate and remediate security alarms while ensuring timely escalation when required.
  • Coordinate with law enforcement agencies, emergency responders, and site personnel during critical incidents.
  • Receive, prioritize, and manage both emergency and non-emergency security event communications.
Access Control & Security Operations
  • Oversee site access activities, including monitoring entry/exit events and managing security system disarm procedures.
  • Track and maintain the operational status of multiple security platforms and site protection systems.
  • Conduct routine system health checks, video patrols, and operational assessments.
Investigations & Documentation
  • Create clear, detailed, and professional incident reports documenting security events and response actions.
  • Maintain accurate shift activity logs and operational records.
  • Support forensic investigations through the review and analysis of video surveillance footage and access control data.
System Maintenance & Administrative Support
  • Identify technical issues affecting security infrastructure and initiate corrective maintenance requests.
  • Validate service completion and ensure system functionality is restored effectively.
  • Perform administrative and compliance-related CSOC activities in accordance with established procedures.

  • Pelco Control Point
  • Compass
  • DMP
  • D3
  • JIRA
  • Passage Point
  • Alert
  • Microsoft Office Suite
  • Additional CSOC security platforms and monitoring tools

Operational Knowledge
Working knowledge of:
  • Security Operations Center procedures and best practices
  • Critical infrastructure protection environments
  • Physical security and access management programs
  • Substation operations and security governance frameworks

Qualifications
Preferred Education & Experience
  • Associate degree (AA) or higher, OR High School Diploma/GED with a minimum of 2 years of experience in Security Systems, Security Operations, Information Technology, or a related field.

PAY RANGE AND BENEFITS:
Pay Range*: $25.00 - $28.41 per hour
*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
