Vicmap Data Acquisition Specialist

• Support the supply, maintenance and quality of Victoria's foundational spatial data
• Acquire imagery, elevation and 3D data, particularly satellite imagery
• Support procurement and contract management
• Work with stakeholders to understand requirements
• Provide specialist advice on geospatial imaging and data
• Prepare project specifications
• Support financial and invoice management
• Contribute to quality assurance, product development and service improvements
• Collaborate across government to improve public sector investment in spatial data

Requirements

• Experience in GIS, remote sensing and programming (mandatory)
• Experience managing small to medium projects independently, delivering to agreed scope, time and budget (mandatory)
• Relevant qualifications or experience in geomatics, surveying, geoinformatics, spatial sciences or information technology (mandatory)
• Relevant pre-employment screening and reference checks required
• Must be an Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident or hold a valid work permit or visa necessary for the position
• Ability to deliver projects effectively, prioritise tasks, maintain accurate records and work to agreed plans and priorities
• Ability to manage contracts, monitor supplier performance, ensure compliance and address risks
• Critical thinking, sound judgement and practical problem-solving skills
