Job Description

Job Title: HR Advisor

Skelmersdale

Our Vision & Why It Matters

At Alexander Dennis, our vision is to lead the evolution of sustainable on-road mass transportation and mobility.

We design, deliver, and support market-leading buses and coaches that help reduce emissions, improve air quality, and keep communities connected. Every role contributes to that mission whether you’re engineering, driving sales, improving production, or supporting our customers.

What You’ll Do

We're looking for an experienced HR Advisor to support our Central Functions and AD24 business areas. Working closely with the HR Business Partner, you'll provide practical HR advice and guidance to managers and employees, support employee relations activity, and play a key role in driving consistent HR policies, processes and best practice across the business.

This is a varied generalist role where you'll contribute to strategic HR initiatives, employee engagement activities, HR reporting, performance management processes and the full employee lifecycle, helping to deliver an excellent people experience across Alexander Dennis.

What We’re Looking For

You'll have proven generalist HR experience gained at HR Officer or HR Advisor level, with strong knowledge of employment law and employee relations. Confident working with managers at all levels, you'll be comfortable handling a varied caseload while building positive working relationships across the business.

We're looking for someone with excellent organisational skills, strong attention to detail, a proactive approach and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Experience working with HR systems, payroll processes and maintaining accurate HR records is essential.

Bonus If You Have

  • CIPD Level 5 qualification (or currently working towards)
  • HR or Business-related degree
  • Experience working within a manufacturing or engineering environment
  • Experience supporting continuous improvement or HR transformation projects
  • Knowledge of integrated HR, payroll and time and attendance systems

What We Offer

Safety: The health and wellbeing of our team members, and the safety of our products, are our top priority.

Quality: We strive for excellence in our products, services, and all that we do.

Integrity: We act with honesty, transparency and integrity, treating each other with respect in a diverse, equitable and  inclusive workplace.
