Press Brake Setup Operator

Description Bring your metalworking skills to a mission-driven manufacturer building learning environments that help students and educators thrive. In Arlington, TX, this Press Brake Setup Operator opportunity puts you at the center of in-house production, working with a full metal shop to turn high-quality designs into real parts. Qualifications and responsibilities for this Press Brake Setup Operator position include: 3-5 years of hands-on press brake experience, with the ability to independently handle setup, tooling, bend deductions, blueprint interpretation, and bend sequencing.

Set up, operate, and maintain CNC or manual press brake machines. Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work orders. Select correct tooling, dies, and machine settings for each job. Program bends and steps directly at the machine (not solely via engineering push instructions). Measure and inspect finished parts using calipers, micrometers, tape measures, and other precision tools; complete first-piece and in-process inspections. Troubleshoot and adjust settings to maintain dimensional accuracy and product quality.

Follow safety procedures and PPE requirements; lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods in a manufacturing shop.

Salary: $23-$28 per hour, depending on skill level.
