Oracle Application Express (APEX) Developer

Summary of tasks:

·       Design and deliver APEX applications, data models, PL/SQL APIs, pages, security, and deployments with business users.

Required Qualifications:

·       Four-year college degree and approximately: 6+ years of relevant experience for a senior level developer, 3-6 years for a mid-level developer. 

·      

·       Understanding of software design and programming principles.

·       Minimum 3 years’ experience developing Oracle Application Express (APEX 21.2 or later) including: Building forms, Interactive Reports, Interactive Grids, cards, classic reports, shared components, dynamic actions, validations, processes, and branches etc.

·       Minimum 3 years’ experience developing Oracle PL/SQL backend components including: Packages, procedures, functions, triggers, bulk processing, exception handling etc.

·       Experience developing client-side work including JavaScript, CSS, HTML.

·       Experience with relational database modeling and administration.

·       Experience with Oracle REST Data Services (ORDS).

·       Experience with APEX security including authentication schemes, authorization schemes, and session state protection.

·       Experience building APEX pages that meet Section 508 / WCAG standards.

·       Experience with version control/configuration management tools such as GIT, Bitbucket etc.  

·       Able to work and collaborate remotely, be self-directed, work independently and communicate with customers in a courteous and professional manner.

·       Extensive experience using AI models to develop and test code.

Some combinations of the following:

·       Experience with programming languages such as Java, VB/C#, Python, Ruby, .Net etc.

·       Demonstrated experience with some of the following: HTML5, JSON, XML, APIs

·       Knowledge and experience working with traditional or document databases such as Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or other databases

·       Experience working in a cloud environment (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and an understanding of cloud technologies such as Docker/Kubernetes, Cloud databases, CI/CD, serverless computing etc.

·       Experience creating and consuming RESTful services

·       Experience with ETL or data integration tools such as Informatica, Apache Nifi, AWS Glue

·       Experience with analytics or reporting tools such as QLIK, Tableau and Business Objects.

·       Experience with JavaScript frameworks such as Angular, VueJS, React.

·       Experience with Java and Java frameworks such as Spring, Spring Boot.

·       Experience with CRMs such as Salesforce or Zendesk

·       Experience with Business Rules Engines (BRE)/Decision Management Suite (DMS) solutions such as Drools and Camunda
