Job Title: Confluence Admin/Designer
Location: 100% Remote
Duration: 6-Month Contract (Potential Extension)


Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Confluence Designer to support a large-scale Knowledge Management migration initiative. This role is focused on designing and building content within Confluence Cloud, migrating existing documentation from a legacy knowledge management platform into Confluence.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience creating and organizing Confluence pages, using templates, macros, and page hierarchies to build user-friendly knowledge bases. This is not a Confluence Administrator rolethe primary focus is on page creation, content organization, and documentation migration.
Candidates with healthcare payer or healthcare claims experience are strongly preferred.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, build, and maintain knowledge management pages in Confluence Cloud.
  • Migrate documentation from legacy knowledge management systems into Confluence.
  • Convert and organize content from Microsoft Word, Excel, and PDF documents into well-structured Confluence pages.
  • Create page hierarchies, navigation structures, templates, macros, and reusable content.
  • Format and publish knowledge articles, standard operating procedures (SOPs), job aids, manuals, alerts, and other business documentation.
  • Ensure migrated content is accurate, organized, searchable, and easy to navigate.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders and subject matter experts to validate and organize documentation.
  • Support ongoing knowledge management initiatives and documentation improvements.
  • Follow Confluence best practices for page structure, formatting, and content organization.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor''s degree in Communication, Instructional Design, Education, Technology, or a related field.
    • OR an additional 4 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience designing and building pages in Confluence.
  • Strong experience with Confluence Cloud.
  • Experience creating page layouts, templates, macros, attachments, and page hierarchies.
  • Experience migrating documentation from legacy systems or document repositories into Confluence.
  • Strong documentation, organizational, and content management skills.
  • Experience working with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PDF documents.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment while managing multiple priorities.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in the healthcare payer, health insurance, or healthcare claims domain.
  • Knowledge of Facets or other healthcare claims platforms.
  • Experience with the Refined plugin for Confluence.
  • Experience supporting enterprise Knowledge Management initiatives.
  • Experience working with Learning Management Systems (LMS).
  • Familiarity with Atlassian tools and Confluence best practices.
