Currently, Houston Behavioral Healthcare Hospital is recruiting for a Director of Clinical Services, Fulltime, Monday-Friday 8a-4p.
The Director of Clinical Services will oversee the daily operations of the Social Services Department.
Duties would include:
Supervises staff: Hires, trains, develops, evaluates, and leads teams of therapists and MSWs.
Oversees patient care: Ensures that treatments meet high standards and are in accordance with program description. Conducts psychosocial assessments to document history and identify preliminary issues for treatment focus by interviewing the patient and their family members. Attends regular treatment team meetings to provide social work perspectives to total case management of the patient by discussing progress notes charts and communicating any state or local agency legal requirement for case management with the interdisciplinary team.
Manages compliance: Keeps the facility aligned with local, state, and federal healthcare laws and regulations.
Core Function: Works with administration, medical and nursing staff, and other related departments in planning social service. Serves as a resource and referral source for patients, physicians, staff and general community.
Education: Masters Degree in Social Work, or Counseling required
Licenses Required: Active Texas social work license LMSW, LCSW, LCDC or LPC.
Certifications: CPR and SATORI
Skills:
Preferred qualifications include inpatient healthcare experience with demonstrated competency in therapeutic interventions, time management, and crisis intervention techniques relevant to acute patient care.
Additional expertise should encompass trauma-informed care practices and non-violent crisis de-escalation methodologies. Candidates should possess comprehensive knowledge of psychological disorders and advanced understanding of abnormal psychology principles as they apply to pediatric, adolescent, or adult populations.
Familiarity with community follow-up resources and support services is essential, along with proficiency in delivering individual, family, and group therapy modalities.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Demonstrate leadership, organizational skills, and ability to maintain a positive and professional attitude.
