The Role • Operate specialized heavy equipment, such as hostlers, cranes, top loaders, and side loaders, to efficiently move shipping containers. • Load and unload containers from railcars and trucks with precision and safety. • Position and organize containers within the intermodal yard, ensuring optimal flow and space utilization. • Conduct daily pre- and post-operation equipment inspections to maintain safety standards. • Coordinate with yard personnel and supervisors to manage daily tasks and container movements. • Adhere to strict safety protocols and procedures to maintain a secure work environment. What You'll Need • A valid driver’s license is mandatory for this position. • Experience operating heavy equipment in a logistics or industrial setting is preferred. • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs. • Willingness to work flexible schedules, including night shifts, weekends, and holidays. • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to workplace safety. • Effective communication and teamwork skills. • Open availability and ability to pass pre-employment screenings, including background verification, physical, and drug testing.
