Job Description

This is a senior leadership role within the Chief Investment Office, reporting to the CIO, focused on turning the firm’s investment views into scalable portfolio solutions for advisors and clients. The role acts as the “implementation engine” of the CIO office, leading portfolio construction, model portfolios, investment execution, and solution design across the wealth platform.

Core purpose

  • Build and oversee the firm’s portfolio architecture
  • Convert asset allocation views into practical investment solutions
  • Support advisor success, client outcomes, and future platform growth
  • Help modernize the investment platform from a traditional trust model toward a more scalable, advisor-centric and RIA-oriented model

Key responsibilities

  • Lead portfolio construction across objectives like growth, income, tax-aware, ESG, alternatives, retirement, and high-net-worth custom solutions
  • Develop scalable investment solutions such as model portfolios, UMAs, multi-manager portfolios, concentrated stock strategies, and goals-based frameworks
  • Ensure portfolios meet fiduciary, regulatory, and OCC trust standards
  • Partner with advisors, fiduciary, risk, compliance, legal, product, operations, and technology
  • Build and lead a high-performing portfolio construction team
  • Improve advisor adoption of CIO solutions and refine offerings based on field feedback

Ideal candidate

The firm wants a highly experienced investment leader with:

  • 15+ years in investment or wealth management
  • Deep portfolio construction and asset allocation expertise
  • Strong knowledge of fiduciary portfolio management in an OCC-regulated trust environment
  • Experience serving high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth clients
  • Strong advisor partnership and executive communication skills
