About the Role
We’re seeking a Project Manager with strong life insurance and annuity experience to lead business and technology initiatives for a leading insurance carrier. You will own delivery end to end across annuity products, policy administration, and related operations, working closely with business stakeholders, IT teams, and third-party vendors.
Key Responsibilities
∙ Plan, execute, and deliver annuity-related projects (product launches, system enhancements, regulatory changes, and operational improvements) on time and within budget.
∙ Build and maintain project plans, schedules, RAID logs (risks, assumptions, issues, dependencies), and status reports.
∙ Coordinate cross-functional teams across Actuarial, Operations, Compliance, Finance, IT, and external vendors.
∙ Run project ceremonies, including kickoffs, status meetings, steering committee updates, and retrospectives.
∙ Manage scope, change requests, and stakeholder expectations, escalating risks early.

∙ Oversee implementation and go-live readiness, including cutover planning and post-production support.
∙ Keep work aligned with insurance regulatory requirements (state DOI, NAIC, suitability/best-interest rules).
Required Qualifications
∙ 8+ years of project management experience, with at least 3 years in life insurance or annuities.
∙ Solid understanding of annuity products (fixed, indexed, and/or variable) and the policy lifecycle: new business, in-force servicing, and claims/payouts.
∙ Experience with policy administration systems (e.g., FAST, LifePRO, EXL LifePRO, Majesco, Sapiens, or similar).
∙ Proficiency with Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid delivery methods.
∙ Hands-on experience with MS Project, Jira, Smartsheet, or similar tools.
∙ Strong communication, stakeholder management, and executive reporting skills.
∙ Bachelor’s degree in Business, IT, or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications
∙ PMP, PMI-ACP, or CSM certification.
∙ LOMA certifications (FLMI, ACS).
∙ Experience with regulatory or compliance-driven projects, system conversions, or migrations.
∙ Prior experience with a carrier such as Banner Life, Legal & General, Brighthouse, Lincoln, Athene, or similar.
