Job Title: Sr. UI/UX Developer/Architect/Design engineer

Job Summary
Seeking a Senior UI/UX Developer / Architect / Design Engineer with strong experience building enterprise design systems from scratch and deep expertise in WCAG 2.1 and Section 508 accessibility. The ideal candidate will have excellent technical communication skills and experience developing scalable, reusable, accessible UI components.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and implement enterprise-level design systems and reusable component libraries.
- Develop accessible UI components and wrapper components using Angular, HTML, and SASS/SCSS.
- Ensure compliance with WCAG 2.1/AAA and Section 508 standards.
- Use Storybook for component development, documentation, and collaboration.
- Conduct accessibility/code reviews and support remediation efforts.
- Collaborate with UX, developers, architects, and stakeholders across enterprise projects.
- Mentor teams on accessibility and design-system best practices.
Required Skills
- 5+ years of front-end/UI development experience.
- Proven experience building enterprise design systems from the ground up.
- Strong expertise in WCAG 2.1, Section 508, ARIA, and semantic HTML.
- Strong Angular, HTML, SASS/SCSS, JavaScript/TypeScript skills.
- Hands-on Storybook experience.
- Strong UX and accessible UI development knowledge.
- Excellent verbal and written technical communication skills.
Preferred
- Experience with USWDS or similar enterprise design systems.
- Experience with .NET/MVC and SQL.
- Government/public-sector accessibility experience.
