L3/L4 SQL DBA

Our client, a large professional services firm located in Phoenix, AZ, is looking to hire 3 experienced L3/L4 SQL DBAs for a 3-month hybrid contract role. The consultants will be expected to work onsite 3 days per week in the Phoenix office. The consultant will handle day-to-day SQL management and maintenance duties. The ideal candidates will ensure database stability, optimal performance, and robust administration across both on-premises and cloud environments.
Key Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day MS SQL general administration and maintenance tasks.
• Perform database tuning and proactive troubleshooting to optimize performance.
• Oversee and support Always On Availability Groups (AOAG) configurations.
• Administer databases within Azure Managed Instance and IaaS SQL infrastructure.

Required Skills

• Deep expertise in MS SQL Server administration (current and supported versions).
• Strong proficiency in writing and optimizing Transact-SQL (T-SQL).
• Hands-on experience with AOAG, Azure Managed Instance, and IaaS SQL administration.
• Proven track record in complex database tuning and troubleshooting.

Desired Skills:

• Knowledge of PostgreSQL or CosmosDB.
• Familiarity with Azure Site Recovery (ASR).

The expected hourly rate range for this role is: $56-85 per hour
