Job Description

SEN Teacher | Newbury, United Kingdom | Hybrid

We are hiring for an impact-driven community organization dedicated to transforming the lives of young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. We partner with schools and local authorities to provide tailored educational support and are seeking passionate educators to join our mission.

The Role

  • Provide in-person, online, and hybrid Maths, English, or Science tuition to young people with SEND and SEMH needs.
  • Support pupils from KS1 to KS5, planning and delivering trauma-informed tutoring and mentoring.
  • Develop flexible learning plans tailored to individual student needs.
  • Report on lessons and provide regular feedback on student progress.
  • Work with learners who have a range of needs including MLD, SLD, and PMLD.
  • Contribute to raising the standard of education for vulnerable young people.

What You'll Need

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS / QTLS).
  • At least 2 years of teaching experience, preferably with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD, and/or PMLD.
  • Familiarity with teaching English, Maths, and/or Science.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding practices and creating a safe learning environment.
  • An enhanced DBS check (assistance can be provided).
  • Right to work in the UK.
