Business Analyst

About the Role

We are looking for a Business Analyst with 3-4 years of experience to work with business stakeholders and technical teams on enterprise projects. You will gather and document requirements, analyze business processes, and help deliver solutions that meet business goals. This is a good fit for someone who communicates clearly, likes problem-solving, and works well in an Agile environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Gather, analyze, and document business requirements through stakeholder interviews, workshops, and process reviews.
• Write BRDs, FRDs, user stories, and use cases with clear acceptance criteria.
• Create process flows, wireframes, and diagrams (Visio, Lucidchart, or similar) to illustrate current-state and future-state processes.
• Perform gap analysis and recommend process or system improvements.
• Act as the liaison between business users, developers, QA, and project managers.
• Maintain the product backlog and take part in sprint planning, grooming, and retrospectives.
• Support UAT by preparing test scenarios, reviewing test cases, and tracking defects to closure.
• Write basic SQL queries to validate data and support reporting needs.
• Keep a requirements traceability matrix and provide regular status updates to stakeholders.

Required Qualifications

• 3-4 years of experience as a Business Analyst or Business Systems Analyst.
• Proven experience with requirements gathering, documentation, and stakeholder management.
• Hands-on experience with Agile/Scrum and tools such as JIRA and Confluence.
• Working knowledge of SQL for data analysis and validation.
• Familiarity with SDLC methodologies (Agile, Waterfall).
• Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio or equivalent diagramming tools.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with APIs, system integrations, or data mapping.
• Exposure to BI/reporting tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
• Industry experience in [Banking / Healthcare / Pharma / Insurance / Retail - customize].
• Certifications such as CBAP, CCBA, PMI-PBA, or CSPO.
