PIV/MFA Program Lead

Leidos seeks a PIV/MFA Program Lead to own the strategy, architecture, and operations of enterprise identity and authentication services supporting mission-critical government and commercial customers. In this role, you will lead design and implementation of secure PIV and MFA solutions, integrating with applications, directories, and cloud platforms to enable resilient, standards-based access. You will collaborate closely with cybersecurity, infrastructure, and application teams to align with FIPS and NIST requirements, drive zero-trust initiatives, and support audits and accreditations. The Program Lead will guide technical teams, manage vendors and upgrades, and continuously improve performance, availability, and security of authentication services. Responsibilities

• Lead design, implementation, and operations of PIV and MFA authentication services for enterprise and government environments
• Develop and maintain identity and access management roadmaps, policies, and standards aligned with security and compliance requirements
• Oversee integration of PIV/MFA with applications, directories, and cloud platforms; troubleshoot complex authentication issues
• Collaborate with security, infrastructure, and application teams to ensure secure, reliable access solutions
• Manage vendor relationships, product evaluations, and upgrades for authentication and identity platforms
• Create and maintain technical documentation, runbooks, and architectural diagrams for PIV/MFA services
• Monitor performance, availability, and security posture of authentication systems and implement improvements
• Guide and mentor technical teams; provide subject-matter expertise on digital identity and zero-trust initiatives
• Support audits, accreditation efforts, and compliance with federal identity standards (e.g., FIPS 201, NIST guidelines)
• Contribute to strategic planning and proposals for new programs and customer solutions involving identity services
