Job Description

Job Title: Unix Server Administrator
Job Location: Charlotte, NC (3 Days onsite, 2 Days work from home) hybrid role.
Job Type:10+ Months Contract
Job Description:
  • The position is responsible for remediating Unix OS and Unix application software vulnerabilities by removing, patching, or upgrading Unix based software as directed.
  • Required skills include Unix OS administration skills, ability to install, upgrade, and remove software applications, ODBC drivers, rpms, etc. Experience installing, upgrading, and patching third party vendor software is required.
  • Some programming and/or scripting using Unix shell scripts or Python or Perl programming is required as patching activities must be automated to operating at scale and on a frequent basis.
  • Specialist skill sets include Python and AI skills including Agentic AI, CoPilot studio, Prompt Engineering, Agent design, LangGraph, CrewAI, and Claude MCP.
  • Experience with Ansible, BladeLogic, or other automation tools preferred. Prior experience at Bank of America is preferred but not required.
