Job Title:  Principal Software Engineer

Duration: Long-term contract with option to hire
Clearance:  TS/SCI w/Poly Job Description:
We are seeking a Principal Software Engineer with experience building modern web applications using React and the backend services that support them. This role focuses on modernizing our front‐end architecture, implementing new React-based interfaces, and developing the underlying back-end infrastructure and web server functionality required for a responsive and scalable application.

You will design and maintain server-side components that handle incoming requests, manage persistent client connections, and provide the data pipelines the front end depends on. This includes establishing the environment, tooling, and integration patterns necessary for a clean, maintainable React application.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain React-based front-end features and the back-end services that support them
Build and configure web server components that handle client requests and application data flows
Implement mechanisms for managing client connections and delivering responsive UI interactions
Set up modern front-end tooling, build pipelines, and testing frameworks
Ensure reliability, performance, security, and usability across the full stack
Apply sound engineering practices throughout design, development, testing, and deployment
Skills & Qualifications :
Experience building production React applications
Experience developing or integrating backend services or web server components
Strong understanding of JavaScript/TypeScript and modern UI architecture
Familiarity with request/response patterns, client connection handling, and server-side integration
Knowledge of front-end build tools and automated testing frameworks
Ability to collaborate across teams and deliver maintainable, scalable solutions
