Java Developer -IV

Introduction: The Java Developer role is directly involved with the development and support of Java and JavaScript web applications. Within an existing application, the role will evaluate how to best meet requirements and implement enhancements as well as provide maintenance and support. For new applications, the role serves as a team member under application architect direction in developing java and web applications in an agile environment.

Responsibilities:

• Provide development support for new or existing software products, including legacy applications, COTS solutions, and new custom development.
• Incorporate security and quality assurance to all software development activity.
• Responsible for developing application code as assigned.
• Follow SDLC guidelines and actively engage with Agile team members.

Requirements:

• Mid-level Java experience
• Mid-level JavaScript experience
• Experience in creating web applications
• Experience with a front-end JavaScript framework like Angular, React, or Vue
• Experience implementing unit tests
• Experience documenting or refining systems or requirements
• SQL experience
• Git experience

Top Skills & Years of Experience:

• Java – 4 years
• JavaScript – 3 years
• SQL – 2 years

Nice to Have:

• ReactJS or other SPA JavaScript framework
• Agile development experience

• Must be a current WI residency. No relocation is allowed. This position can work 100% remote within the State of WI or in the ETF office.
