Job Description

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Scrum Master to support Agile teams responsible for delivering complex business and technology initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the end-to-end software development and delivery lifecycle and experience guiding cross-functional teams through development, testing, validation, deployment, and transition to production support.

Experience within equipment manufacturing, medical device manufacturing, or a related industry is highly preferred. Candidates without equipment manufacturing experience will also be considered if they have supported major U.S. healthcare organizations and possess strong experience managing Agile delivery across the complete application and product lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the Scrum Master for one or more Agile delivery teams, facilitating Scrum ceremonies including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, backlog refinement, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Coach and guide Agile teams on Scrum principles, Agile best practices, continuous improvement, and effective delivery practices.
  • Partner closely with Product Owners, Project Managers, Business Analysts, Developers, QA teams, Validation teams, and other stakeholders to ensure successful delivery of initiatives.
  • Support teams throughout the complete delivery lifecycle, including requirements and planning, development, testing, validation, deployment, and transition to production support.
  • Identify, track, and help remove impediments that impact team productivity, delivery timelines, quality, or release readiness.
  • Facilitate coordination and communication across multiple business, technology, infrastructure, and support teams.
  • Monitor sprint progress, delivery commitments, dependencies, risks, and blockers and provide appropriate visibility to stakeholders.
  • Support release planning and coordination to ensure development, testing, validation, and deployment activities are properly aligned.
  • Help ensure that applications and solutions meet required quality, testing, validation, and operational readiness standards prior to deployment.
  • Facilitate a smooth transition of delivered solutions to production support and operational teams, including knowledge transfer and post-deployment support activities.
  • Drive continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to improve team processes, collaboration, predictability, and delivery efficiency.
  • Work effectively with geographically distributed teams and demonstrate flexibility in supporting team members and stakeholders across EST through PST time zones.

Required Qualifications

  • Experience as a Scrum Master, Agile Project Manager, or similar Agile delivery leadership role.
  • Strong hands-on experience facilitating Agile and Scrum ceremonies and supporting multiple cross-functional delivery teams.
  • Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Agile delivery methodologies.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting the complete delivery lifecycle, including:
    • Development
    • Testing and Quality Assurance
    • System or Business Validation
    • Deployment and Release Management
    • Production Readiness
    • Transition to Production/Application Support
  • Experience managing dependencies, risks, impediments, and coordination across multiple teams and stakeholders.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively with both technical and business teams.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced and evolving environment.
  • Experience working with distributed teams and supporting stakeholders across multiple U.S. time zones.
  • Scrum Master certification such as CSM, PSM, SAFe Scrum Master, or equivalent.
  • Experience in equipment manufacturing, industrial manufacturing, medical device manufacturing, or related environments.
