  • Design, develop and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes.
  • Work closely with architects, business stakeholders and engineering teams to deliver a modern cloud data platform.
  • Optimise data models, data flows and performance within Snowflake.
  • Contribute to the future migration and integration of data services into AWS.
  • Ensure data quality, governance and security standards are maintained throughout the migration lifecycle.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve data platform issues, implementing best practices and continuous improvements.
  • Collaborate within Agile delivery teams to meet programme objectives and timelines.

  • Minimum 3 years' banking experience.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Snowflake.
  • Strong SQL development and database engineering skills.
  • Experience building and maintaining large-scale data pipelines.
  • Exposure to cloud technologies, ideally AWS.
  • Experience working on data migration, transformation or modernisation programmes.
  • Understanding of data modelling, ETL/ELT processes and data warehousing principles.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.

Desirable Skills

  • Experience within Credit Cards or broader consumer lending environments.
  • Knowledge of AWS data services such as S3, Glue, Lambda, Redshift or related technologies.
  • Experience working within regulated financial services environments.
  • Understanding of modern data architecture and cloud data strategy initiatives.

Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will be a proactive and technically strong Data Engineer who is comfortable working in a fast-paced transformation environment. They will have experience delivering data migration projects, a strong understanding of Snowflake, and the ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and business stakeholders.
Key Technologies: Snowflake, SQL, AWS, Data Warehousing, ETL/ELT, Cloud Data Platforms, Banking Data Systems.
