Applied AI Engineer

We’re looking for an Applied AI Engineer to join a growing AI organisation and work closely with the research and engineering teams to build high-quality, production-grade AI systems.

Key Responsibilities:

Design and build solutions using LLMs, RAG and related AI technologies<br />Develop and maintain high-quality production software<br />Architect and maintain microservice-based systems<br />Take ownership of technical problems from concept through to production<br />Work closely with research and engineering teams in an Agile/Scrum environment<br />Provide technical guidance and support to more junior engineers<br />You’ll ideally have: Experience building LLM-driven systems, including RAG<br />Commercial Python development experience<br />Strong understanding of clean, maintainable and well-tested software<br />Fluency with agentic tooling<br />Excellent technical communication skills<br />Bachelor’s degree from a leading or internationally recognised university<br />A strong product mindset and focus on delivering user value<br />A self-starting, creative approach to problem solving<br />Desirable Experience: Deep learning and traditional machine learning<br />LLM fine-tuning<br />Microservice architecture<br />Modern LLM tooling and evaluation approaches<br />Further Information: The role is paying up to £140,000pa + bonus and is based in London with Hybrid working on offer.
