The Role
As a Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for carrying out planned servicing, preventative maintenance and fault diagnosis on a range of CNC machine tools at customer sites. Key Responsibilities
- Carry out scheduled servicing and preventative maintenance on CNC machine tools.
- Diagnose faults and carry out repairs where required.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, providing a professional service at all times.
- Ensure all work is completed in accordance with company health and safety procedures.
- Complete service documentation accurately and communicate technical information internally in line with company quality processes.
About You
- Time-served engineer with a recognised engineering apprenticeship or equivalent qualification.
- Based within the Greater Manchester area, with the ability to travel to customer sites across the North of England and occasionally throughout the UK and Ireland.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Proactive approach to fault finding and problem solving.
- Good knowledge of CNC turning and milling machine tools.
- Previous experience servicing or maintaining CNC machine tools is desirable.
- Experience with Fanuc, Siemens and/or Heidenhain CNC controls is advantageous.
