Senior C++ Software Engineer

Location: Fort Washington, PA Salary: $60.00 USD Hourly - $65.00 USD Hourly Description:
We're partnering with an innovative engineering organization seeking a Senior Software Engineer to help design and develop software solutions for advanced automation and packaging systems. What You'll Do

• Collaborate with stakeholders to review, define, and refine requirements for new and existing software features.
• Design, develop, and maintain software applications using C++ and object-oriented programming principles.
• Implement, test, and validate software solutions throughout the development lifecycle.
• Support equipment demonstrations, qualifications, and customer buyoffs both in-house and at international customer locations.
• Partner with cross-functional engineering teams to deliver high-quality, scalable software solutions.
• Contribute ideas and best practices to improve software architecture, performance, and maintainability.

What We're Looking For

• Strong experience developing software in C++.
• Solid understanding of Object-Oriented Analysis and Design (OOAD) methodologies.
• Experience with multithreaded application development and software design patterns.
• Proficiency with STL, COM/DCOM, and BOOST (or similar template libraries) is highly preferred.
• Experience with Python and Tcl/Tk is a plus.
• Ability to troubleshoot, test, and optimize complex software systems.
• Results-oriented mindset with a proactive, "can-do" approach to problem solving.
• Passion for learning new technologies and collaborating with technical teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting industrial automation, manufacturing equipment, robotics, or machine control systems.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• English proficiency required; German language skills are a plus.
• Willingness to support international customer engagements and travel as needed.
