Job Description

Job title: SAP SME / Manufacturing Business Analyst
Location: Portland, MI - 2 days onsite in a week
Contract / full time
 
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in information systems, supply chain, operations, industrial engineering, manufacturing
engineering, business, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
• 10+ years of experience in manufacturing systems, SAP business analysis, ERP implementation, plant
operations, production planning, supply chain, or a closely related discipline.
• Demonstrated experience with SAP manufacturing and supply-chain processes, preferably SAP PP and MM.
• Practical experience working directly with manufacturing, production planning, inventory, quality, maintenance,
or tooling teams.
• Ability to document current-state and future-state processes and convert them into clear functional
requirements.
• Experience supporting system implementations, enhancements, integrations, testing, training, or operational
adoption.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to work with operational data and identify root
causes.
• Excellent communication skills with both technical and nontechnical audiences.
• Willingness to spend meaningful time on the manufacturing floor and engage directly with users.
 
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with SAP ECC, SAP Digital Manufacturing, SAP MII, SAP QM, SAP PM.
• Experience with MES, finite-capacity scheduling, OEE platforms, barcode/RFID scanning, machine connectivity,
or industrial IoT.
• Experience integrating SAP with shop-floor applications, machine controls, data historians, scheduling systems,
or business-intelligence tools.
• Experience with production environments involving machining, tooling, high-mix/low-volume work, make-to order
manufacturing, or engineered products.

• Knowledge of master data governance for materials, bills of material, routings, work centers, production
versions, vendors, equipment, and inspection plans.
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, 5S/6S, Kaizen, value-stream mapping, or similar continuous improvement
methods.
• SAP certification, APICS/ASCM certification, Lean certification, or related professional credential.
• Familiarity with Power BI, SQL, process-mining tools, or other operational analytics platforms.
