Job description

Bring your expertise to an industry with purpose, scale and global impact.

At MUFG Pension & Market Services, your skills in finance, analytics, systems or transformation translate directly into meaningful work supporting millions of Australians.
We’re looking for a Pricing Data Analyst to join our Finance Systems Transformation program and play a key role in preparing pricing, contractual and billing data for our new ERP environment. You’ll work across Finance, Pricing and Technology to improve data quality, simplify processes and help shape the future of our pricing and billing operations.
You don’t need previous superannuation experience. We’re looking for someone who brings strong analytical capability, understands how commercial and financial data fits together, and can confidently work across complex systems and stakeholder groups.
This is a 9-month fixed term opportunity with possibility for ongoing work subject to individual performance and business needs.

What you’ll be doing

  • Build and maintain a central source of truth for pricing, contractual, customer and billing data ahead of ERP migration.
  • Analyse and cleanse data from legacy systems, spreadsheets and other sources, identifying gaps, inconsistencies and remediation actions.
  • Translate existing pricing arrangements, contract terms and billing rules into future-state ERP data structures and mappings.
  • Perform reconciliations across source systems, billing platforms, management reporting and financial results, investigating variances and root causes.
  • Partner with Pricing Managers, Finance, Technology and Operations to gather and validate business, data and reporting requirements.
  • Contribute to the design of future pricing and contract workflows, including approvals, data hand-offs and controls.
  • Support ERP data migration, testing, implementation and post-implementation activities.
  • Identify opportunities to simplify, standardise and automate pricing, billing and finance data processes.

What we’re looking for

You may come from finance, accounting, commercial finance, data analysis, business analysis, finance systems or transformation. What matters most is your ability to understand complex data and processes and turn them into practical solutions.
Ideally, you’ll bring:
  • Around five or more years’ experience in finance, accounting, financial systems, business analysis, data, transformation or a related field.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capability, including complex reconciliations and root-cause analysis.
  • An understanding of pricing, billing, customer, contract or financial data and how information flows through systems and reporting.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills. Experience with Power Query, Power BI or similar tools is desirable.
  • Experience working with ERP, general ledger, billing, reporting or operational systems in a complex environment.
  • The ability to work with interconnected data structures, mappings and reporting hierarchies.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to clearly document requirements, processes and findings.
  • A relevant tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, Business, Information Systems, Data or a related discipline. Professional qualifications or relevant certifications are advantageous.
Previous experience in financial services, regulated environments or an ERP/finance transformation is beneficial, but superannuation experience is not required.
