As a Project Architect, you’ll work alongside a talented group of architects and designers working on meaningful healthcare and public sector projects. You’ll have the opportunity to drive design excellence, support staff development, and deliver impactful work for our clients and communities.

What you’ll be responsible for:

  • Act as a Project Architect on a design team, supporting the Architecture Team Lead
  • Oversee architectural projects from concept to completion, ensuring quality, budget, and timeline requirements are consistently met
  • Stamp and sign drawings as a licensed architect
  • Assign tasks across the project team to ensure smooth project execution
  • Review and critique design work to ensure compliance with applicable codes, regulations, and industry standards
  • Troubleshoot technical challenges and offer practical solutions to keep projects on track
  • Track and interpret relevant legislative and regulatory requirements in collaboration with the Architecture Team Lead
  • Maintain team progress and meet internal and external project deadlines
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships through effective communication, responsiveness, and collaboration
  • Develop and deliver client or professional presentations to support business development and firm visibility
  • Support the retention of existing clients by consistently providing high-quality service and deliverables
  • Foster a collaborative and supportive team culture that encourages innovation and continuous improvement

What we’ll love about you:

  • You bring a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset and excel at navigating complex project challenges
  • You take initiative to develop your technical skills and stay current with advancements in architecture and design
  • You understand how to align group efforts with broader firm objectives, driving performance through clarity and focus
  • You are skilled at managing interpersonal dynamics, using conflict resolution skills to maintain team cohesion
  • You collaborate effectively with other disciplines and project teams to coordinate design efforts and resolve challenges
  • You contribute to a high-performing team climate and are willing to step into broader leadership roles as needed
  • You value learning and development—not only for yourself, but for those you lead—and pursue opportunities to strengthen your leadership and decision-making abilities
  • You lead with empathy, professionalism, and a clear sense of purpose—building trust both within your team and with external partners

Here’s What You’ll Need (Basic Qualifications)

  • 6+ years of experience in design/architecture
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Architecture
  • Architectural license required
  • Healthcare project experience preferred
  • Experience with preparing contract documents (Drawings and Specs)
  • Experience in delivering projects of varying scale and complexity.
  • Strong understanding of building codes and construction practices.
  • Experience with Revit
  • Experience with Bluebeam, Ajera, and Adobe Creative Suite preferred

What you’ll love about us:

  • We are an innovative, engaging, diverse, and collaborative team.
  • We offer competitive compensation with eligibility for a year-end performance bonus, employer-paid health, medical, and dental benefits, a 401k with match, student loan repayment, and paid parental leave.
  • We take our responsibility to support team members seriously and strive to create an environment in which you are motivated and fulfilled. We do this through challenging projects, professional development, training, and other forms of support.
  • We offer generous PTO and observe all federal holidays.
  • We value fun. This is why we celebrate milestones and host office lunches, offsite team outings, and company events.
  • We believe in giving back to the community and helping those in need, so we regularly volunteer as a team and offer an annual charitable giving program.
  • We believe a healthy body supports a healthy mind. FFE Inc. provides an annual wellness program reimbursement and access to an on-premises licensed physical therapist at no cost to employees.
