About the team + role

We are building an elite team, applying frontier technologies to the world’s biggest financial problems. We’re looking for bold thinkers. Sharp problem-solvers. Builders who are wired to make an impact. Robinhood isn’t a place for complacency, it’s where ambitious people do the best work of their careers. We’re a high-performing, fast-moving team with ethics at the center of everything we do. Expectations are high, and so are the rewards.

The Procurement and Vendor Management Office (VMO) is Robinhood's central team for engaging and managing third-party vendors and partners across the company. We manage complex commercial relationships for Robinhood. We partner closely with Legal, Risk, Finance, and business leaders to help Robinhood source, negotiate, and manage vendor and partner relationships that power our products and operations. Our team values speed, commercial rigor, and risk-intelligent decision-making in equal measure. Our world-class, data-driven strategic sourcing function is key to Robinhood's growth. You'll work alongside the smartest sourcing and contracting specialists who understand the marketplace well, take ownership of their categories, and fluently use AI to deliver great results, fast! It's a collaborative, high-accountability team where your expertise directly shapes how Robinhood spends and protects its resources!

As a Senior Sourcing Manager, you'll own end-to-end sourcing and contracting for a portfolio of vendor categories, run market research, perform competitive bidding, lead negotiations, and drive contract execution. You'll partner directly with senior Business Owners, Commercial Legal, and Risk stakeholders to translate their needs into sourcing strategies that deliver measurable savings and reduce risk. You'll bring a data-driven lens to your category management, using metrics to identify opportunities and track the impact of your work. This is a high-visibility, high-ownership role for someone to influence how Robinhood engages vendors and partners.

This role is based in our Menlo Park, CA, New York, NY, and Chicago, IL offices, with in-person attendance expected at least 3 days per week.

At Robinhood, we believe in the power of in-person work to accelerate progress, spark innovation, and strengthen community. Our office experience is intentional, energizing, and designed to fully support high-performing teams.

What you’ll do

  • Own and execute the sourcing and contracting strategy for an assigned portfolio of vendor categories / cost centers, including market research, vendor identification, competitive bidding, negotiations, selection, and contracting
  • Lead negotiations on complex vendor contracts, delivering quantifiable savings and reduced risk
  • Partner with Business Owners and senior stakeholders to maximize value from vendors and partners in terms of service quality and procurement savings
  • Collaborate with and actively influence Commercial Legal, Tax, Finance, and Risk partners to drive risk-intelligent processes and protocols throughout the sourcing lifecycle
  • Maintain a deep understanding of vendor markets and trends, and build a clear understanding of how third-party vendors and partners support Robinhood's core business objectives
  • Use metrics and data to identify logical category clusters and develop sourcing strategies and category management plans tailored to each
  • Embrace AI-powered automation and use data and analytics to speed up work, quantify opportunities, and track return on investment
  • Help optimize Robinhood's third-party vendor and partner footprint, driving cost rationalization and proactively influencing upcoming contract renewals

What you bring

  • 8+ years of experience in strategic sourcing, vendor and third-party contracting, procurement consulting, procurement program management, or process reengineering, within Financial Services or FinTech
  • Expert-level knowledge of contract negotiation dynamics, particularly within the Cloud Services, Software, and Digital Marketing categories
  • Ability to independently own and deliver complex sourcing initiatives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
  • Fluency with using AI to speed up work, familiarity with data visualization and analysis tools, and a natural comfort level using data to drive decisions
  • Experience incorporating risk and performance management into the sourcing and contracting process
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects, establish workflows, and meet deadlines independently
  • Ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams including Legal, Risk, Finance, and business stakeholders

What we offer

  • Challenging, high-impact work to grow your career.
  • Performance driven compensation with multipliers for outsized impact, bonus programs, equity ownership, and 401(k) matching.
  • Top Tier benefits to fuel your work, including 100% paid health insurance for employees with 90% coverage for dependents.
  • Access to the Robinhood Employee Fund that gives eligible US employees the opportunity to invest in a private employee fund that provides exposure to Robinhood Ventures funds.
  • Access to the best AI tools on the market and continuous AI skill-building for every employee, technical or not.
  • Lifestyle wallet - a highly flexible benefits spending account for wellness, learning, and more.
  • Employer-paid life & disability insurance, fertility benefits, and mental health benefits.
  • Time off to recharge including company holidays, paid time off, sick time, parental leave, and more!
  • Exceptional office experience with catered meals, events, and comfortable workspaces.
