ENGINEER/SCIENTIST | Crane, IN, United States | Hybrid

This employer is seeking a highly skilled Engineer/Scientist to serve as a principal advisor for strategic planning and development within a key government agency. The role involves shaping long-term departmental direction, advising on investment strategies, and collaborating with senior leadership to achieve organizational objectives.

The Role

Serve as the principal advisor to the Department Head on conceptualizing and developing department strategies.
Advise on branding and departmental investment issues, contributing to strategic resource allocation.
Collaborate with senior management to devise and implement effective short-term and long-term plans.
Oversee the execution of departmental communication plans and editorial calendars.
Establish and review key strategic priorities, translating them into actionable plans aligned with organizational capabilities.
Assess the value and impact of ongoing work for the organization.

What You'll Need

Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering, Physical Science, Mathematics, or a related field.
At least one year of specialized experience in providing technical oversight for strategic planning and execution.
Demonstrated ability to advise leadership on strategic direction and investment.
Experience in developing and implementing communication plans.
Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills for working with senior management.
Must be a U.S. Citizen and able to obtain a security clearance.
