What will I do in this role?
Our Neuropsychologist evaluates and treats patients in accordance with the reason for referral by the referring physician. Provides assessment and psychotherapeutic support to the patient and caregiver(s) as well as consultation with the Rehabilitation team. Assists in the continuous quality improvement process, program development, administrative duties as assigned, and coordination of any student/intern/fellowship program, as requested. Assists in divisional growth to ensure a high quality of care. Provides patient care consistent with Scope of Practice Standards, Standards for Psychological Testing, the American Psychological Association Ethical Principles, the Plan for Provision of Care to Patients, the Plan for Corporate Compliance, the Performance Improvement Plan, and the Patient Education Plan. Provides care while maintaining a safe environment, utilizing appropriate communication with sensitivity and attention to special populations, including patients with diverse cultural backgrounds, age, developmental issues and physical disabilities.
Educational Requirements:
· Graduate of an accredited psychology school per California state regulations required.
· 2-year post-doctoral fellowship in Neuropsychology required.
· Able to obtain CSMC Clinical Psychologist privileges.
License:
· Required: Licensed Psychologist in the state of California
· Preferred: Board Certified in Clinical Neuropsychology
· Required: Basic Life Support (BLS) certified (upon hire)
