No H1, no Corp-to-Corp, and no EAD. The client is part of the government sector; therefore, candidates would need to be eligible to work there.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree in Accounting required, Master’s Degree Preferred
- Previous experience with global manufacturing company preferred
- Prior Experience in Standard Cost Accounting and Inventory Valuation
- 5 + years of Cost Accounting experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
- The ability to reprioritize and respond to changing timelines and priorities
- Strong orientation towards process improvement, system implementations and automation
- Prior experience working with ERP, HFM, or SAP S4 Hana preferred
Duties:
- Establish and maintain Budgeted and Actual Cost pools and allocations between business units.
- Establish and maintain Labor and OH Rates.
- Determine Standard Costs for new materials and for the annual Inventory Revaluation. Perform annual Inventory Revaluation.
- Update standard raw material costs.
- Ensure accurate labor time hours for calculation of standard costing of parts.
- Review BOM’s and Routings for accuracy and completeness. Validate lot size and Assembly Scrap %s. Update and make changes if necessary.
- Perform the periodic settlements of projects and Production orders.
- Audit cycle count adjustments on weekly basis. Review ABC categories at quarterly basis
- Lead Annual Physical Inventory for RM, WIP and FG.
- Investigate Monthly Variances Material, Labor and Overhead to ensure accurate product costing.
- Support the month end close.
- Support system upgrades and implementations as needed.
- Maintain Adequate Inventory and Warranty reserves.
- Review inventory scrap and other adjustments.
- Ad-hoc product costing and product margin analysis.
- Oversee Consignment Inventory Process.
- Ad-hoc analysis and reporting as needed.
- Support Finance, DCAA and Sarbanes-Oxley Audits as needed.
- Lead Boulder Site Inventory Reserve Process
Description:
Reporting directly to the Operations Finance and FP&A Manager, the Senior Cost Accountant serves as a key business partner for the Boulder Operations plant specifically related to cost reductions and operations excellence as well as costing, Material, Labor, Overhead and Purchase Price Variance. The position consults on strategic decisions, constructs strategic and operating planning for costing variances and reductions, advises on operations excellence tactics, prepares fiscal close reporting, analysis, and supports internal controls and financial systems management.
