Quality Systems Manager – Food Manufacturing
9-12 Months (Maternity Cover)
Near Motherwell, Hybrid Working Available
£40,000 - £45,000 + Pension + Holidays + Flexible Hours
Do you come from a Quality or Technical background in the Food Manufacturing sector and want to improve your quality of life by joining a friendly, relaxed business in a systems-focused role that offers hybrid working?
This employee-owned business has been supplying premium condiments, bakery & confectionery products to a number of major retailers and other food manufacturers for over a decade. They operate a BRC AA+ accredited facility that combines traditional craftsmanship with manufacturing excellence.
In this role you’ll work closely with the site’s Quality Manager, taking ownership of the Quality Management System & ensuring documentation, processes and controls remain audit-ready and compliant. You'll support FSQA initiatives and ensure robust systems underpin product safety, legality & customer requirements.
This role would suit someone with previous experience in a Technical or Quality Systems role in a food manufacturing environment, or alternatively would be a great fit for a Quality or Technical Manager that is looking for a less stressful role that gives them flexibility on work hours and hybrid working.

Day-to-day of the role:
- Managing and enhancing the site's Quality Management Systems, procedures and technical documentation
- Coordinating audits, compliance activities and corrective action plans
- Maintaining specifications, records and documentation for customer use
- Collaborating with operational & technical teams to strengthen food safety, compliance and quality performance
The ideal person will have:
- Strong experience with Quality Management Systems in a Food Manufacturing environment
- Demonstrable knowledge of GMP, HACCP, VACCP & TACCP
- Previous experience leading or supporting internal and/or customer audits
- Confidence in maintaining customer specifications & supplier approval questionnaires
