Job Description

This position requires onsite work in Tewksbury, MA and an active Secret security Clearance. Candidates who do not hold this clearance are not eligible for hire. Solidus is seeking a dynamic, seasoned electrical engineer to join the Sensor Test Solutions team, driving the design, integration, and deployment of advanced test equipment used across domestic and international facilities. In this role, the engineer will work within a highly collaborative, multi‑disciplinary environment, contributing expertise across power, RF, digital logic, analog circuitry, and automated test software development.

We're looking for someone who can ramp up quickly, deliver impactful technical solutions, and thrive in a process‑heavy, team‑oriented setting where innovation and precision come together to support mission‑critical test operations. Day in the Life:

  • Execute assigned technical tasks as part of a collaborative engineering team
  • Design and develop test stations and fixtures, including electrical schematic capture and PCB layout
  • Support scheduled project meetings and contribute technical input as needed
  • Develop and maintain automated test software for deployed test systems
  • Provide periodic progress updates (daily, weekly, etc.) to the project lead
  • Others duties as assigned Required Qualifications & Experience:
  • Active Secret clearance is required
  • Cultural fit amongst a collaborative team environment
  • 8 years of experience in electrical engineering or test system development
  • Bachelor's degree in a STEM field
  • Strong hands-on experience with electrical test instruments and equipment
  • Solid knowledge of power, RF, digital logic, and analog circuit design
  • Proven experience developing automated test software (C/C++, C#, LabVIEW, TestStand)* Proficiency with ORCAD and/or Cadence Allegro for PCB design

Preferred Qualifications & Experience

  • Experience leading projects, including cost and schedule management (EVMS, MS Project)
  • Familiarity with DoD project life‑cycle processes
  • Background in developing test solutions within process‑heavy or manufacturing environments. Benefit selection, customer contractual specifications, relevant work experience, skills, competencies, certifications, and clearance status will influence the final salary. Full benefits: $127,500 to $159,500 annually
