Job Description
About Obvio AI
Each year, more than 40,000 people in the U.S. leave home and never make it back due to traffic crashes. At Obvio, we believe these deaths are preventable. We deploy solar-powered, AI-assisted cameras to enforce traffic laws where pedestrians are most vulnerable, automating enforcement in ways that traditional systems cannot. Our approach has already led to a 50% reduction in reckless driving in early partner cities.
Founded by the team behind Motive's AI dashcam and backed by Bain Capital Ventures and Khosla Ventures, we are building the intelligence layer for safer streets globally.
We are seeking a Content Marketing Manager to own Obvio’s narrative, digital presence, editorial strategy, and content creation engine. At the intersection of artificial intelligence, physical hardware, and city policy, our story is unique and multi-faceted. You will translate complex technical architectures and civic policy nuances into clear, compelling content that earns trust with city officials, law enforcement leadership, community advocates, and enterprise partners.
You are a gifted writer, sharp thinker, and proactive builder. In this role, you will be the central editorial engine for the company: producing whitepapers, managing our website and social channels, and partnering closely with key internal stakeholders to design and execute all sales, product, and brand collateral.
What You'll Do
Own All Company Collateral: Partner directly with cross-functional stakeholders across Sales, Product, Policy/Government Relations, and Leadership to conceptualize, write, and deliver all physical and digital collateral—including pitch decks, product sheets, one-pagers, field marketing assets, policy briefs, and buyer enablement tools.
Drive Web & Digital Content: Write, test, and optimize copy for the Obvio website and campaign landing pages, focusing on clear messaging and conversion rate optimization in close alignment with GTM goals.
Lead Social & Digital Channels: Own and scale Obvio’s social channels. Build a distinct, authoritative voice, manage the publishing calendar, and execute campaigns that build community trust and brand engagement.
Execute Long-Form Editorial Strategy: Write authoritative long-form content, including whitepapers, research reports, customer case studies, and policy position papers covering physical AI, traffic safety, and smart municipal infrastructure.
Extract Technical Insights: Interview internal technical leads, city officials, police leadership, and urban planners to turn deep domain expertise into authentic, compelling stories.
Distribution & Analytics: Establish multi-channel content distribution strategies, optimize web properties for SEO, and track performance metrics tied to web traffic, pipeline generation, and brand awareness.
What We're Looking For
3-6+ years of experience in content marketing, digital marketing, or copywriting, ideally within B2B SaaS, AI, smart cities, hardware, or civic/public sector technology.
Exceptional writing, storytelling, and editing skills: a proven ability to simplify complex technical, regulatory, or policy concepts into crisp, authoritative prose.
Demonstrated track record of collaborating with cross-functional teams (Sales, Product, Execs) to design and produce end-to-end collateral suites.
Strong portfolio showcasing long-form content (whitepapers, case studies), web/landing page copy, social media campaigns, and sales collateral (one-pagers, decks).
Proven experience managing B2B social media channels and driving digital growth.
High agency and ownership mindset—you are a self-starter who thrives in fast-paced startup environments and takes projects from initial brief to final delivery.
Bonus Points
Background in journalism, public policy, technical writing, or creative copy-editing.
Familiarity with public safety, smart city technology, transportation policy, or municipal procurement.
Experience working with multimedia content, such as podcast scriptwriting, video storyboarding, or data visualization.
