The Role

• Work collaboratively with finance and accounting directors to ensure accurate and timely recording of journal entries and transactions.
• Provide guidance and training to accountants, serving as an initial resource for transactional recording and policy interpretation.
• Manage the day-to-day accounting tasks for assigned communities, fulfilling the accountant's responsibilities where necessary.
• Prepare daily cash account reconciliations and monthly reconciliations for assigned balance sheet and income statement accounts.
• Identify and resolve accounting issues, implementing processes and controls to prevent recurrence.
• Assist in the preparation of month-end, quarterly, and annual reports, as well as consolidation and other reporting requirements.

What You'll Need

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• A minimum of five years of accounting experience, or a combination of education and experience.
• Solid understanding of U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
