About the Role:
Grade Level (for internal use):
11 The Team: The Inside Sales team plays a critical role in enabling commercial success across S&P Dow Jones Indices, acting as a bridge between various key business functions to support the full sales lifecycle, drive operational excellence, and deliver a seamless client experience. As a Group Lead, you will be instrumental in leading, developing, and inspiring a team of commercial support professionals, fostering an environment of continuous improvement and high performance that directly contributes to broader commercial objectives.
Responsibilities and Impact:
• Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team of commercial support professionals, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement. This includes conducting regular performance, coaching, and development discussions, providing clear feedback, guidance, and career support, and actively shaping team dynamics to address issues proactively.
• Drive operational excellence by ensuring consistent execution of sales support processes, policies, and controls, maintaining high standards of quality, accuracy, and compliance. You will monitor workload, prioritization, and resource allocation to deliver strong service levels, identify risks and bottlenecks, and implement scalable solutions to enhance efficiency and stakeholder experience.
• Enhance commercial effectiveness and revenue enablement by partnering with Client Coverage and cross-functional stakeholders. This involves promoting strong pipeline management, Salesforce discipline, and data quality, and contributing in-depth and robust analytical perspective to advise on complex issues and drive commercial outcomes.
• Lead continuous improvement and change initiatives, acting as a champion for new processes, technologies, and ways of working. You will gather stakeholder feedback, translate insights into actionable improvements, and proactively seek new opportunities for innovation, operating effectively even with incomplete or conflicting data.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, serving as an escalation point for complex cross-functional issues. This involves effectively engaging with and influencing peers and immediate leadership, integrating and clearly communicating complex information across functions and levels, and influencing decision-making through data-driven insights.
• This role offers a significant opportunity to develop leadership capabilities, influence the delivery of commercial operations at scale, and play a key role in shaping team performance, improving business processes, and enabling strategic initiatives across S&P Dow Jones Indices.
• All employees are required to work from the office a minimum of 2 days per week.

• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in analyzing data, identifying trends, and translating insights into actionable strategies.
• Experience working with Salesforce or similar CRM platforms.
• We require all external candidates who reach the final stage of our interview process to attend at least one in-person interview, which is ordinarily at your nearest S&P Global office. This must be completed before we can proceed to an offer.
