Electrical Project Manager (Data Centres)

Location: London Salary: £100,000 - £120,000 + Car Allowance + Bonus + Benefits Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time Our client, a leading M&E contractor with an established presence across London and the South East, is seeking an experienced Electrical Project Manager to support the delivery of major data centre and mission-critical projects.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing business with a strong pipeline of work, delivering complex electrical installations within technically demanding environments. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing projects from pre-construction through to commissioning and handover.

Key Responsibilities Manage electrical packages on data centre and mission-critical projects from inception through to completion.<br />Coordinate design development, technical submissions and procurement activities.<br />Manage subcontractors, suppliers and site teams.<br />Oversee the installation of critical electrical systems including LV distribution, UPS systems, generators, switchgear and associated infrastructure.<br />Monitor project performance against programme, budget and quality objectives.<br />Lead client, consultant and subcontractor progress meetings.<br />Manage project costs, variations, valuations and forecasting.<br />Ensure all works are carried out in accordance with contractual requirements and industry regulations.<br />Oversee testing, commissioning and integrated systems testing activities.<br />Identify project risks and implement mitigation strategies.<br />Produce regular project reports for senior management and clients.<br />Ensure successful project handover and client sign-off.

Candidate Requirements Proven experience as an Electrical Project Manager within an M&amp;E Contractor or Building Services environment.<br />Demonstrable experience delivering data centre, mission-critical or critical infrastructure projects.<br />Strong technical understanding of:

LV/HV Distribution<br />UPS Systems<br />Standby Generators<br />Switchgear<br />Power Distribution<br />Containment Systems<br />Earthing &amp; Lightning Protection<br />BMS Integration<br />Strong commissioning and handover experience within critical environments.<br />Excellent commercial awareness and contractual understanding.<br />Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills.

Qualifications HNC/HND or Degree in Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering or a related discipline.<br />SMSTS.<br />CSCS Black Card (or equivalent).<br />First Aid (desirable).<br />IOSH or NEBOSH (desirable).
