The Role • Operate specialized heavy equipment (hostlers, cranes, top loaders, side loaders) for loading and unloading shipping containers. • Relocate and stack containers within the intermodal yard to ensure smooth daily logistics operations. • Perform pre- and post-operation equipment inspections to ensure safety and functionality. • Coordinate with yard personnel and supervisors for efficient container movement and task management. • Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to established protocols and procedures. • Ensure accurate and timely handling of containers to keep freight moving. What You'll Need • A valid driver’s license is required. • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks. • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to safety. • Willingness to work flexible schedules, including all shifts, weekends, and holidays. • Basic communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team. • Ability to lift up to 50lbs and perform tasks such as climbing ladders and stairs.
