Business Analyst – 1st Line Risk & Controls | Global Markets

We are looking for an experienced Business Analyst to support a major change programme within a leading global financial institution. The role will sit across Global Markets / Corporate & Investment Banking, working closely with Operations, Finance, Controls and Line of Business stakeholders, with a particular focus on 1st Line of Defence (1LoD) risk and controls.

Key responsibilities:

• Support the delivery of risk and controls initiatives across Global Markets and C&IB
• Work with 1st Line of Defence stakeholders to understand existing controls, identify requirements and support change
• Gather, analyse and document business and control requirements
• Work across Operations, Finance, Controls and Front Office / Line of Business teams
• Support process and control analysis, including identifying gaps and areas for improvement
• Coordinate requirements and actions across multiple stakeholder groups
• Support the wider programme through analysis, documentation and delivery activities

What we’re looking for:

• Strong Business Analyst experience within banking or financial services
• Good understanding of 1st Line risk and controls
• experience within Global Markets, Capital Markets or Corporate & Investment Banking
• Exposure to operational risk, controls, governance or control frameworks
• Strong requirements gathering, process analysis and stakeholder management skills
• Comfortable working across Operations, Finance, Controls and business teams
• experience delivering within large-scale regulatory, risk, control or transformation programmes would be beneficial

Ideal backgrounds could include: Global Markets Controls, 1LoD Risk, Business Controls, Operational Risk, Non-Financial Risk, Front Office Controls or Markets Transformation.
