Job Description

The Opportunity:

The Network Operations Associate works in the office and provides networking and facilities support to business and technology partners on a daily basis. They work together with network engineers to engineer, test, document, and deploy networking solutions. Work responsibilities may also include facilities work to support the Network Operations Team. You will report to the IT Operations Manager or Team Lead.

The Day-to-Day:
  • Oversee assigned operational tasks to completion
  • Identify, create, and develop documentation for group
  • Create, maintain, and optimize detailed process maps and system architecture diagrams using MS Visio and Lucidchart to align cross-functional teams.
  • Help grow the business through various projects
  • Follow group and firm policies and procedures
  • Identify potential process improvements and recommend solutions
  • Identify escalations and routes appropriately
  • Responsible for properly handling confidential documents
  • Participate in training programs and professional development opportunities to enhance your network engineering skills
Your Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required
  • Basic knowledge of Cisco routing and switching technologies
  • High level of attention to detail
  • A willingness to learn and a strong desire to build a career in network engineering
  • Ability to adapt to changes in a fast paced, team environment
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize workload and manage time across various tasks
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and visual diagramming software (Visio, Lucid Chart, etc.)
  • Familiarity with NMS platforms and data center software
  • Ability to travel
