Position Overview

We are seeking a versatile Scrum Master / Project Manager to drive the delivery of critical healthcare technology and operational initiatives. In this role, you will operate at the intersection of Agile delivery and traditional project management. You will be responsible for guiding cross-functional teams, removing blockers, and managing timelines for a leading national provider of outpatient imaging services.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience navigating the complexities of healthcare IT, clinical workflows, or medical imaging environments while fostering a high-performing Agile culture.

Key Responsibilities

Scrum Master & Agile Facilitation

• Facilitate Core Rituals: Lead daily stand-ups, sprint planning, backlog refinement, and retrospectives.
• Remove Impediments: Proactively identify and eliminate blockers to keep the delivery team focused and highly productive.
• Co-own Backlog Health: Partner closely with Product Owners to maintain, prioritize, and groom a well-defined product backlog.
• Foster Agile Maturity: Coach and mentor teams on Agile principles, helping them improve predictability, velocity, and self-organization.

Project Management & Delivery

• Manage Project Lifecycles: Scope, plan, and execute strategic projects from initiation through deployment, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
• Track & Report Progress: Define clear project milestones, manage resource allocation, and provide concise status updates to executive leadership.
• Risk & Dependency Management: Identify cross-team dependencies, mitigate risks, and resolve conflicts across technical and clinical stakeholder groups.

Healthcare & Domain Alignment

• Navigate Clinical Workflows: Coordinate deployments that impact outpatient imaging workflows, scheduling systems, RIS/PACS networks, or billing platforms.
• Maintain Compliance: Ensure all project documentation, processes, and deliverables adhere to healthcare regulations, including HIPAA and data security standards.

Required Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum of 5+ years of experience acting as a Scrum Master and/or Project Manager, with at least 2 years in a healthcare technology or clinical operations environment.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Health Informatics, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Certifications: Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or Professional Scrum Master (PSM I) is required. Project Management Professional (PMP) or Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP) is highly preferred.
• Healthcare Domain Knowledge: Proven familiarity with healthcare IT ecosystems, outpatient workflows, or medical imaging technologies (e.g., HL7, DICOM, RIS, PACS) is strongly preferred.
• Tools: Proficiency with Agile management tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps) and traditional project tracking tools (e.g., Smartsheet, MS Project).
• Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with a proven ability to translate technical complexities for non-technical clinical stakeholders.
