SAP Project Manager - Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) - 6 months - Inside IR35

We are seeking an experienced SAP Project Manager to lead and deliver complex SAP transformation programmes with a strong focus on Enterprise Asset Management and related SAP solutions supporting physical asset operations.

This role is not focused on finance-only SAP Asset Accounting, but on real-world operational asset management, including maintenance, plant operations, and field asset life cycle management (eg pumps, infrastructure, equipment, utilities assets).

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end delivery of SAP programmes with a strong focus on SAP EAM/Plant Maintenance (PM) solutions
• Manage full project life cycle including initiation, design, build, testing, cutover, deployment, and hypercare
• Oversee delivery of asset-centric processes such as maintenance planning, work orders, corrective and preventive maintenance, and asset life cycle management
• Manage cross-functional SAP integrations across EAM, PM, MM, FI/CO and related enterprise systems
• Engage with business stakeholders in asset-intensive environments (eg utilities, manufacturing, infrastructure, transport)
• Drive programme governance including RAID management, budgeting, planning, reporting, and risk mitigation
• Coordinate internal teams, system integrators, and third-party vendors across multi-stream SAP landscapes
• Lead workshops to define as-is/to-be processes and ensure alignment to operational asset management requirements
• Oversee testing strategy including SIT, UAT, defect management and cutover planning
• Support business readiness, change management, and post-go-live stabilisation activities

Key Experience Required

• Proven experience as a SAP Project Manager delivering EAM or Plant Maintenance (PM) programmes
• Strong background in Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) or SAP PM (Plant Maintenance) environments
• Exposure to asset-intensive industries such as utilities, energy, manufacturing, rail, infrastructure or defence
• Experience managing SAP implementations or transformations in ECC or S/4HANA environments
• Understanding of asset life cycle processes including maintenance execution, scheduling, and field operations
• Experience managing complex SAP integrations across modules (especially MM, FI/CO, PM, EAM)
• Strong stakeholder management skills including engagement with operational and technical business teams
• Experience working in Agile, Waterfall or SAP Activate delivery environments
