Senior Supplier Performance Engineer | Alleghany County, NC, United States | Hybrid | $103,200 - $129,000 per year
This employer is actively seeking a Senior Supplier Performance Engineer to join a mission-driven team focused on delivering clean energy solutions. The Role
- Oversee supplier manufacturing activities to ensure compliance with critical requirements for structural and mechanical components.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams including Supply Chain, Design Engineering, and Supplier Quality to drive supplier performance.
- Identify, escalate, and facilitate the prompt resolution of supplier issues, risks, and quality events.
- Monitor key supplier metrics such as On-Time Delivery and Quality, implementing corrective actions and improvement plans.
- Manage internal and external corrective action requests, performing root cause analysis and verifying preventative measures.
- Support frequent onsite visits to manufacturing facilities and company headquarters.
What You'll Need
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Welding, or Manufacturing disciplines).
- 4+ years of experience in engineering, manufacturing, or fabrication.
- Experience with fabrication and design of ASME Section VIII pressure vessels and heat exchangers.
- Proficient in manufacturing processes including machining, welding, forming, assembly, NDE, and inspection.
- Working knowledge of manufacturing and Quality Plans, with the ability to read drawings and specifications made to ASME standards.
- Ability to travel frequently to supplier sites and company headquarters, including standing and moving on shop floors for extended periods.
- Experience in Power Generation or Nuclear Industries is preferred, but experience in Oil & Gas, Ship Building, or general manufacturing is also relevant.
