Quick Overview
Job Description
About the Role
Join a small industrial robotics team building flexible robotic work cells for demanding manufacturing processes, including surface finishing, welding, and coating. You will own core robotics software and help bring systems from engineering development into real production environments.
What You'll Do
Own and develop the work cell's core robotics software stack.
Design and optimize motion planning, trajectory generation, and control for industrial robot arms.
Integrate cameras, force/torque sensors, and other perception systems into real-time control loops.
Implement industrial safety concepts and fail-safe behaviors.
Lead on-site testing, calibration, and commissioning of robotic systems.
Make architecture decisions and establish effective engineering practices.
What We're Looking For
At least 5 years of robotics engineering experience working with real robot hardware.
Strong foundations in kinematics, motion planning, and control theory, with hands-on experience in production environments.
Experience with industrial or collaborative robot arms, end-of-arm tooling, and associated sensors.
Experience integrating vision and force/torque sensors into real-time robot-control loops.
Proficiency in C++ and/or Python, plus 3D CAD tools such as SolidWorks or CATIA.
Familiarity with ROS 2 and industrial communication protocols such as EtherCAT or OPC-UA.
Fluent English; German is a plus. Experience in machine vision, 3D perception, or surface-finishing, welding, or coating automation is beneficial.
Eligible to work in Germany and able to work on-site in Munich five days per week.
Compensation & Benefits
Estimated salary range of €75,000 to €110,000 annually, plus equity participation. Visa sponsorship is not available.
